DHAKA, July 9, 2024 (BSS)- International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh Ansar split point with FIDE master Nayem Haque of Bangladesh Biman in the suspended game of the 12th round of the 48th Chess Championship held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room on Tuesday.
The 12th round games resumed after three days recess due to death of GM Ziaur Rahman. FIDE master Tahsin Tajwar Zia of Bangladesh Ansar split point with International master Abu Sufian Shakil of Bangladesh Biman.
Anata Choudhury of Palli Sanchoy Bank defeated FIDE Master Sheikh Nasir Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy. International master Md Minhaj Uddin of Bangladesh Navy got a walk over against his team FIDE master Khandaker Aminul Islam.
FIDE Master Manon Rejaa Neer of Bangladesh Navy won this year's national chess title securing 10 points from thirteen matches.
FIDE master Manon Reja Neer split point in his last round match against Rajbari's Amit Bikram Roy before moving to Sri Lanka to participate in the Western Asian Youth Chess Championship.
