DHAKA, Aug 24, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh national football team's head coach Javier Cabrera picked up fourteen players for the camp that begins from Monday (August 26) ahead of the two-way friendly matches against host Bhutan in FIFA September window.
Speaking to the pressmen today (Saturday), Bangladesh Football Federation general secretary Imran Hossain Tushar informed that the national team's camp begins from August 26 at Hotel Inter Continental and the team's practice would be held at Bashundhara practice ground and kings arena.
He said the national team would leave here for Bhutan on September 30 to play two matches. The first match will be held on September 5 while the second match will take place on September 8.
The BFF general secretary said initially the coach called fourteen booters for the camp while he would publish the 23-member final list on August 29 after observing the performance of Bashundhara Kings and U-20 booters, who are currently playing the SAFF U-20 Championship in Nepal.
Bangladesh national football team's head coach Javier Cabrera admitted that playing the two matches against Bhutan is challenging but he sees a positive impact for the team after the unstable situation of some BPL clubs.
The Spanish coach said it is a good opportunity for the team to play the two matches.
Those fourteen players who have been picked for the camp are - Mitul Mara, Mohammed Hossain Sujo and Md Pappu Hossain (goal keeper), Mehedi Hasan, Rahmat Mia, Isa Faysal and Md Shakil Hossain (defender), Md Ridoy, Didarul Alam, Syed Quazem Kirmanee and Jamal Bhuyan (midfielder), Shahriar Emon and Arman Foysal Akash (forward).
