DHAKA, Oct 8, 2024 (BSS) - International master Mohammad Fahad Rahman maintained his joint lead in the points table with India's FM Panesar Vedant with 2.5 points after the third round of First Saturday Grand Masters Chess event which is now being held in Budapest, Hungary.

FM Manon Reja Neer bagged one point after the third round of in GM event. 
While FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia earned one point after the third round of International Masters Chess and woman candidate master Walijah Ahmed secured 2.5 points after the third round of the Under-2250 rating event. 

The third round matches of all events were on Monday last with IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman won against FM Md. Imran of India, FIDE Master Manon Reja Neer split point with FM Panesar Vedant of India.

In the International Master Chess event, FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia lost to CM Mifsud Timothy of Malta while woman candidate master Walijah Ahmed won against Farago Sandor of Hungary.
