DHAKA, Oct 14, 2024 (BSS)- Nine candidates have submitted their nomination papers on the first day (Tuesday) to contest the much-hyped October 26 Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) polls.

Among the nine candidates, BFF incumbent vice president Imrul Hasan submitted his nomination for the post of senior vice president, confirmed BFF source today (Tuesday).
 
He was the only lone candidate submitted the nomination paper through his representative. 

Meanwhile, remaining eight candidates submitted their nomination papers for the member posts.

They are Mahmuda Khatun, Md Nazrul Islam, Syed Md Shahidul Islam, Md. Yakub Ali, Md Manjurul Karim, Amirul Islam Babu, Md Iqbal Hasan Jony and Md Abdul Hafiz.

The candidates will get one more day tomorrow (Tuesday) to submit the nomination paper from 10 am to 5 pm, before the election commission will scrutinise the nomination papers on October 16.

The election commission will receive objections against the nominations on October 17 before holding the hearing on October 18.

The withdrawal of candidature will take place on October 19 and 20 and the final list of candidates will be published on October 20.
