U-17 football team leave for Cambodia tomorrow

DHAKA, Oct 16, 2024 (BSS)- The Bangladesh U-17 national football team will leave Dhaka for Cambodia early tomorrow (Thursday) at 3am to take part in the AFC Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers.

Bangladesh pitted in group B along with Afghanistan, Philippines, Macau and host Cambodia, will play their group opening match against host Cambodia on Saturday (Oct 19) before playing their group second match against Philippines on October 23.

The Bangladesh U-17 team will play their remaining group matches against Macau and Afghanistan on October 25 and 27 respectively.

All the matches will be held at Prince Stadium, Phnom Penh.

Bangladesh U-17 squad: Alif Rahman Imtiaz, Ismail Hossain Rakib, Tasin Saheb, Ikramul Islam, Abdul Riyad Fahim, Khlilur Rahman Anuar, Sheikh Sanhgram,  Sani Das, Md Raj, Mithu Chowdhury, Kamal Merdha, Nazmul Huda Faysal, Akash Ahmed, Mohammad Shofiq Rahman, Mehedi Hasan, Sanjoy Tappo, Joy Ahmed, Murshed Ali, Md Manik, Md Rifat Kazi, Opu Rahman, Salah Uddin Sahed and Arham Islam.

Officials – Md. Jahid Hasan Ameli (team manager), AKM Saiful Bari Titu (head coach), Abul Hossain (assistant coach), Atiur Rahman Meshu (assistant coach), Sha Alam Tutul (goal keeping coach), Oyon Mallick (media manager), KM Shakib (team physio) and Md Atiquzzaman (team doctor).
