DHAKA, Oct 18, 2024 (BSS)- Midfielder Ritu Porna Chakma said this year’s SAFF Championship will be competitive compared to the last SAFF Championship.
“All the matches of the SAFF Championship will be competitive compared to the last tournament as all the seven participating teams are very strong,” said Ritu through a video message during the team’s training session held at ANFA Complex on Friday in Kathmandu, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation.
After watching India-Pakistan match of the tournament, she said it feels that the first match against Pakistan would be very competitive.
She said they would play their natural game and all the players are upbeat to give their best in the match and as a defending champion they would focus match by match.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh national women’s football team continued their intense third day training today ahead of SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 at the ANFA ground under the supervision of head coach Peter Butler.
The Sabina and co. held one and half hour training session which included tactical drills and game strategies. Following the training session, the players participated in an ice bath recovery session to aid their physical conditioning.
