DHAKA, Oct 19, 2024 (BSS) - The Bangladesh U-17 national football team made a losing start as they suffered a solitary goal defeat to host Cambodia in their opening group match of the AFC Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers held today (Saturday) at national sports complex in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.
After the barren first half, forward Daro Thach scored the all-important goal for the winning side in the 85th minute of the match.
Bangladesh which pitted in group B along with Afghanistan, Philippines, Macau and host Cambodia, will play their group second match against Philippines on October 23 at the same venue.
The boys in red and green will play their remaining group matches against Macau and Afghanistan on October 25 and 27 respectively at Prince Stadium in Phnom Penh.
