DHAKA, Oct 23, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh U-17 national football team shrugged off their previous match defeat as they bounced back to register a solitary goal win over Philippines in their second group match of the AFC Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers held today (Wednesday) at national sports complex in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.
In the day's match midfielder Mohammad Shafiq Rahman scored the all important goal for Bangladesh in the 18th minute of the match.
Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a lone goal defeat to host Cambodia in their group opening match.
Bangladesh which pitted in group B along with Afghanistan, Philippines, Macau and host Cambodia, will play their remaining group matches against Macau and Afghanistan on October 25 and 27 respectively at Prince Stadium in Phnom Penh.
