Tigers all out for 307, set SA 106 for victory

DHAKA, Oct 24, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh were wrapped up for 307 in its second innings, setting South Africa 106-run for victory in the first cricket Test today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Resuming the Day 4 at 283-7, Bangladesh lost the rest of the three wickets for just 24 runs in 30 minutes.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz missed out his ton by three runs being out for 97.

Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada sliced through Bangladesh batting with 6-46 including the wicket of Miraz who helped the side quell the fear of innings defeat as Bangladesh started the second inning with 202-run deficit.

Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj claimed 3-105 while Wiaan Mulder picked up one.

Bangladesh were dismissed for 106 in its first innings and the Proteas replied with 308 all out to put them on front foot.
