Bangladesh face Macau tomorrow in AFC Asian Cup 

DHAKA, Oct 24, 2024 (BSS) - The Bangladesh U-17 national football team take on Macau in their third group match of the AFC Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers scheduled to be held tomorrow (Friday) at Prince Stadium in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

The match kicks off at 3pm Bangladesh time. 

Speaking through a video message today (Thursday), Bangladesh assistant team manager Atiqur Rahman Meshu said they would face Macau, which is different team compared to Cambodia and Philippines.

He said they have already watched the video footage of Macau and trying to find out their weak and strong points. The head coach would brief the players before the Macau match and hoped that the boys would be able to bring out a good result if the players would not miss any scoring opportunity in the match.

Goalkeeper Alif Rahman Imtiage said after the second match victory against Philippines they are only thinking match by match and would try to give the best effort to win the remaining group matches. 

Center-back Md Ikramul Islam also found optimistic to do well against Macau and their last group match against Afghanistan.  
Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a lone goal defeat to host Cambodia in their group opening match but they bounced back to register a solitary goal win over Philippines in their second group match.

Bangladesh which pitted in group B along with Afghanistan, Philippines, Macau and host Cambodia, will play their last group match against Afghanistan on Sunday (October 27) at Prince Stadium in Phnom Penh.

Bangladesh U-17 squad: Alif Rahman Imtiaz, Ismail Hossain Rakib, Tasin Saheb, Ikramul Islam, Abdul Riyad Fahim, Khlilur Rahman Anuar, Sheikh Sanhgram,  Sani Das, Md Raj, Mithu Chowdhury, Kamal Merdha, Nazmul Huda Faysal, Akash Ahmed, Mohammad Shofiq Rahman, Mehedi Hasan, Sanjoy Tappo, Joy Ahmed, Murshed Ali, Md Manik, Md Rifat Kazi, Opu Rahman, Salah Uddin Sahed and Arham Islam.
