DHAKA, Nov 5, 2024 (BSS) - The Bangladesh baseball team will leave here for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to participate in the Baseball United Arab Classic Baseball Championship.
The championship will be held from November 6-11 in Dubai.
A total of nine countries -- Bangladesh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Palestine and host UAE -- will take part in the int'l meet.
The nine participating teams, split into two groups, will compete in the league basis tournament.
Bangladesh has been grouped with Pakistan, Afghanistan, UAE and India while the other group consists with Palestine, Sri Lanka Nepal and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Bangladesh baseball team will start their tournament campaign taking on Pakistan on November 7 and face Afghanistan on Nov 8.
Bangladesh baseball team will play their remaining two group two matches against UAE and India on November 9.
