DHAKA, Nov 10, 2024 (BSS)- The game between Dhaka Metro and Dhaka Division
was left in parity after Rony Talukdar and Shuvagata Hom led Dhaka Division's
fightback following a poor start at Sylhet Academy Ground today.
Resuming the day at 233-6, Metro were bowled out for 304. Dhaka then reached
254-6 at stumps, still trailing by 50 runs.
But with Shuvagata Hom on 60 in the crease, Dhaka are in favourable position
to take first innings lead.
Most of the Dhaka Division batters got a start but couldn't convert it to a
big one, leaving the side in danger. Rony stood tall to make 54 off 122 with
seven fours and one six.
After Rony's dismissal, Shuvagata took the onus to drive the side. When the
bails were drawn, Nazmul Islam Apu was batting on 21 with Shuvagata.
Earlier, Metro were able to add just 71 runs to their overnight total with
Tahjibul Islam scoring most of them. He made 63 before being dismissed.
Anamul Haque and Shuvataga snapped up four wickets apiece for Dhaka.
