Junior, youth handball teams to participate in IHF Men's Handball Trophy 

DHAKA, Nov 14, 2024 (BSS)- The qualifying round of IHF Men's Handball Trophy 2024-Asia will be held from January 3-7 in the capital of Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

A total of eight teams -- two teams of youth and junior category - from four countries will compete in the meet, organized by International Handball Federation. 

The participating countries are Bangladesh Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and host India. The winners of the tournament will directly qualify in the World Cup.

The Bangladesh Handball Federation today (Thursday) has announced the preliminary squads of youth and junior handball teams in order to compete in the tournament.

The training camp with the preliminary selected players will begin soon and the final squads will be announced later stage. 

Bangladesh U-18 youth squad - Md Farshid Khan (Dhaka), Taufiqur Rahman (Dhaka), Sheikh Anas Ahnaf (Kushtia), Md Atik Hosen Akash(Panchagarh), Md Sohag Ali (Panchagarh), Rizwan Bin Faruque Annan (Dhaka), Md Anik Islam (Panchagarh), Md Fahim Faisal Mahir (Dhaka), Md Ebadt Hosen Rasel (Jessore), Ripon Ahamed Rahad (Shariatpur), Syed Aayan Subhan  (Dhaka),MD Ratul Uddin (Panchagarh), Md Rony Hasan (Panchagarh), Md Raihan Hasan Rabby (Panchagarh), Md Zakaria Rahman (Panchagarh), Sojib Kisco (GK) (Khagrachari), Khyoi Mong U Marma (Bandarban), Shumol Tanchagya (Rangamati), Shoimongsaing Marma(Bandarban), Shopnil Arafath ( Dhaka) and Ankon Saha Youbraj (Jessore).
