DHAKA, Nov 17, 2024 (BSS)-Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, adviser to the Ministry
of Youth and Sports has said each federation will give the annual report and
audit report to ensure their accountability.

days of interim government, he also said that if someone commits corruption,
it will also be investigated.
"Annual report and audit report will be given to ensure the accountability of
each federation. If someone commits corruption, it will also be
investigated," he said.
"But several federations are autonomous. So there is no scope for government
intervention there."
Following the mass uprising in July-August that ousted Awami League
government from the power, the interim government focused on to eradicate
corruptions from all sectors including the sports..
Asif Mahmud added that efforts are being made to restructure the federations.
'It's ongoing process. There are complaints against various committees, which
are being looked into and measures are being taken," he said.
"Efforts are being made to resolve the crisis and quell the stagnation by
forming new committees."
He also said efforts are underway to break the deadlock of country's richest
federation Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) by appointing new directors.
