DHAKA, Nov 19, 2024 (BSS)- Left-arm spinner Hasan Murad shined in with a three-wicket haul as Bangladesh dominated West Indies Select XI in two-day practice game before it ended in a draw at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.
Thanks to Murad's 3 wickets for just 1 run in 1.4 overs, Bangladesh had West Indies wobbled at 87-9 at stumps on Day 2 which was the final day of the game.
Pacers Hasan Mahmud and Taskin Ahmed also fared well by taking two wickets in a disciplined bowling effort.
Only three batters from the local team could reach double digits with opener Kimani Mellius scoring the highest 23. Justin Greaves and Daniel Beckford added 20 and 19 runs respectively.
Test batter Kraigg Brathwaite led the West Indies Select XI but was dismissed for a duck after opening the innings.
Bangladesh earlier declared the innings at 253-7 with Jaker Ali Anik and Mahidul Islam Ankon making 48 and 41 runs respectively before taking self-retirement.
The two-day match was the only warm-up game for Bangladesh ahead of their two-match Test against Wes Indies.
