DHAKA, Nov 19, 2024 (BSS)-Bangladesh tennis team take on host Bahrain in their opening group D match of the “2024 Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group-5' tennis tournament scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) in Isa Town, Bahrain.
Bangladesh tennis team pitted in group D along with host Bahrain, Yemen and Tajikistan.

Apart from host Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Laos, Macau, Maldives, Mongolia, Yemen, Nepal, Tajikistan, Guam, Turkmenistan, Northern Marina Island and Philippines Davis Cup teams are participating in the competition, which is being held under the sanction of International Tennis Federation and under the management of Bahrain Tennis Federation.

All the teams splitting into four groups are participating in the group phase matches on the basis of round robin league.

Later, the two champions teams will be promoted to Group-4 and both the teams will compete in the 2025 Davis Cup Asia/Oceania region group-4.

The Bangladesh tennis team is expected to return home on November 25.
