DHAKA, Nov 28, 2024 (BSS) - Jalshiri RunBangla Half Marathon will be held on Saturday (Nov 30) in the Jalshiri Housing Project area near Purbachal.
Engineer in Chief of Bangladesh Army Major General Hasan Uz Zaman is expected to present in Jalshiri RunBangla Half Marathon event as the chief guest.

Jalshiri housing project managing director Brigadier General Md Saifur Rahman and Bangladesh Army Sports Control Board chairman Brigadier General Md Humayun Kabir will present as the special guests.

"Jalshiri RunBangla Half Marathon event is a running event coordinated with Bangladesh Athletics Federation. This half marathon certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIIMS) and listed by AIIMS.

A total of 1900 male and female contestants from different parts of the country and abroad will participate in the event to expose the country's amateur and professional runners and to combat depression and drug addiction among the youth.

At the same time, raising awareness about breast cancer in women and the ongoing global campaign and efforts to prevent breast cancer, "Jalshiri RunBangla Half Marathon also announced its solidarity with this initiative and RunBangla will honor this initiative through this event.
