DHAKA, Dec 2, 2024 (BSS)-Defending champions Bashundhara Kings take on Brothers Union Club in one of the opening day's fixture of Bashundhara Group Federation Cup football that begins tomorrow (Tuesday) at Shaheed Dhirendranath Daatta Stadium in Cumilla.

The match kicks off at 2.30 pm.

In the day's other opening match of the fixture, Bangladesh Police Football Club meet Fortis Football Club at 2.30 pm at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh. 

Ten premier division league clubs, split into two groups, will initially participate in the first phase of the Federation Cup Football on single league basis in three venues in Dhaka, Mymensingh and Cumilla.

Later, top two teams from each of the groups will play in the meet's next round (qualification and elimination) like the Bangladesh Premier League Cricket format.

Grouping

Group A - Bashundhara Kings, Bangladesh Police Football Club, Fortis Football Club, Brothers Union Club and Dhaka Wanderers Club

Group B - Mohammedan SC Ltd, Dhaka Abahani Ltd, Chattogram Abahani Ltd, Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society and Fakirerpool Youngmen's Club.
