MYMENSINGH, Dec 6, 2024 (BSS)-Red team beat Green team by five wickets in the 
divisional Zia Cricket T20 tournament held at Circuit house ground in 
Mymensingh on Friday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Green team posted 107 for all in 
stipulated 20 over and in reply Red team reached the target in 19 overs with 
five wickets in hand.

Fahim of the winning team was named the player of the match for his 
impressive performance. 

Earlier, former captain of the national cricket team Enamul Haque Moni 
formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.

BNP Organizing Secretary Shariful Alam, Zia Cricket Tournament Managing 
Committee Convenor Rakibul Islam Babu and former cricketer Sanwar Hossain 
spoke at the opening ceremony, presided by Professor AKM Shafiqul Islam, 
convener of the divisional management committee.

Asaduzzaman, the father of Sagar, who martyred in July-August uprising, Afzal 
H Khan, member of the national executive committee of BNP, former MP Nurul 
Kabir Shaheen, co-organizing secretaries Wares Ali Mamun and Abu Wahab Akand, 
South District BNP convener Zakir Hossain Babul, member secretary Roknuzzaman 
Sarkar Rokon, Netrokona district BNP convener Dr Anwarul Haque, Jamalpur 
district BNP general secretary Shamim Talukdar, Sherpur district BNP 
president Dr Sirajul Haque, Metropolitan BNP joint convener professor Sheikh 
Amjad Ali, general secretary of Divisional Sports Association Abdullah Al 
Fuad Redwan along with sports organizers and central and divisional leaders 
of BNP were present in the opening ceremony.
