DHAKA, Dec 13, 2024 (BSS)-The Victory Day Int'l Rating Chess competition has

begun from today (Friday) at the hall room of post office Bhaban, Sher-e-
Bangla Nagar, Agargaon in the capital, said a Bangladesh Chess Federation
(BCF)press release.  

Muhammad Hiruzzaman, NDC, Additional Secretary (Administration Wing) of the
Ministry of Youth and Sports formally inaugurated the competition as the
chief guest.

Bangladesh Police DIG and BCF vice president Shoeib Reaz Alam and Dhaka North
City Corporation secretary Mohammed Masud Alam Siddique were present there as
special guests

The competition is being held in a nine round swiss league format and the
winners will be given a total cash prize of Taka two lakh.

On the first day, one hundred and eleven players won their respective matches
and earned full points.
