DHAKA, Dec 18, 2024 (BSS)- The Victory Day Badminton and Roller Skating tournaments were held at Sultana Kamal Women's Sports Complex in the capital today (Wednesday).

In badminton junior group single event, Rifa emerged champion while Sharika finished as runner-up.

In the senior group singles event, Rifa emerged champion and Muna finished runners-up.

In the senior group doubles event, Saika and Mona pair emerged champion while Rubi and Pretty finished runners-up.

In the women's group roller skating event, Dekha of Group A, Udity of Group B, Othoi of Group C, Moon of Group D, Ashrafi of Group E and Roza of Group F emerged top.

In the men's group, Ahnaf of Group A, Ayan of group B, Abir of Group C, Tausif of Group D, and Piyash of Group E emerged top.

The prize distribution was held after the competition with Bangladesh Women's Sports Association acting president Anjuman Ara Aksir its acting general secretary engineer Firoza Karim Neli and executive members were present there and distributed the prizes.

A total of 43 shuttlers in badminton and 93 competitors in roller skating took part in the two tournaments which was held marking the victory day.
