DHAKA, Dec 21, 2024 (BSS)-The Bangladesh national cricket team will return to
country in four separate groups after a mixed-bag tour in West Indies.
Bangladesh drew the two-match Test series 1-1 after winning the second Test,
which was their first ever victory in longer version format in Caribbean
Island since 2009.
But as disappointing as it could be, they were whitewashed in three-match ODI
series, a format in which they have been invincible to West Indies since
2014.
However, they reversed the result by inflicting a three-match T20 series
sweep on West Indies. This was the first time they not only won a T20 series
in West Indies but also sweep it, much to the surprise of many, given their
vulnerability in this format.
The first two groups will board the flight tomorrow (Sunday) while the last
two groups on Monday.
Immediate after returning home, they will be busy playing the Bangladesh
Premier League (BPL) T20, which starts on December 30.
After the completion of the BPL with the final on February 7, next year, they
will prepare them for the Champions Trophy, beginning on February 19.
