DHAKA, Dec 26, 2024 (BSS)- Mohammedan Sporting Club take on Fortis Football
Club in one of the fifth round matches of Bashundhara Group Bangladesh
Premier League Football scheduled to be held tomorrow (Friday) at Shaheed
Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
The match kicks off at 2.30 pm.
In the day's second match of the fifth round fixture, Dhaka Wanderers Club
meet Chittagong Abahani Limited at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur at 2.30
pm while holders Bashundhara Kings face Brothers Union Club in third match of
the day at Bashundhara Kings Arena at 5.30 pm.
After the fourth round, Mohammedan dominates the league table with 12 points
from four matches while Fortis Football Club collected five points from the
same number of matches.
Dhaka Wanderers Club bagged one points from four matches while all losers
Chittagong Abahani Limited failed to secure any points from the same number
of outings.
Bashundhara Kings stand at fifth position in the league table with six points
from four matches while Brothers Union Club secured seven points also playing
four matches.
Earlier, Mohammedan beat Dhaka Wanderer Club 6-0 and edged past Bashundhara
Kings and Abahani Limited Dhaka by an identical margin of 1-0 goal and
defeated Bangladesh Police Football Club by 3-1 goals.
While Fortis Football Club suffered 3-1 defeat to Rahmatganj Muslim and
Friends Society in their league opening match, played out to a 1-1 goal draw
with Brothers Union Club, managed a 3-0 win over Fakirerpool Young Men's Club
and shared point playing out to a 1-1 goal draw with Dhaka Wanderers Club.
The port city team Chittagong Abahani suffered 0-7 to Bashundhara Kings and
lost their remaining three matches against Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends
Society, Brothers Union Club and Fakirerpool Young Men's Club by an identical
margin of 2-0 goals.
Dhaka Wanderers Club suffered 6-0 defeat to Mohammedan in their league
opening match, conceded 1-0 defeat to Abahani Limited Dhaka and suffered 4-0
defeat to Bangladesh Police Football Club in their third match of the league
and played out to a 1-1 goal draw with Fortis Football Club.
Bashundhara Kings earlier thrashed Chittagong Abahani Limited by 7-0 goals in
their league opening match but they lost to Mohammedan Sporting Club by 1-0
goal in their second match.
The league champions however bounced back to register a 4-1 victory over
Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in their third match of the league but
lost to a 1-0 goal defeat to Abahani Limited Dhaka.
While Brothers Union Club beat Bangladesh Police Football Club 2-1, played 1-
1 draw with Fortis Football Club, blanked Chittagong Abahani Limited 2-0 but
they lost to Rahmatganj by 3-1 goals.
In the remaining fifth round match on Saturday (Dec 28), Abahani Limited
Dhaka will take on Bangladesh Police Football Club at Shaheed Dhirendranath
Datta Stadium in Cumilla while old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj meet Fakirerpool
Young Men's Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.
