DHAKA, Dec 27 22024 (BSS)-Holders Bashundhara Kings, came from behind, forced
Brothers Union Club to play 1-1 draw in the Bangladesh Premier League
Football held at Bashundhara Kings Arena on Friday.
In the proceedings, Senegalese midfielder Cheikh Sene put Brothers Union
ahead in the 39th minute while forward Mojibor Rahman Jony restored the
parity for Kings in the 90+7th minute of the match.
With the day's outcome, the Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union improved their
tally with eight points from five matches while Kings collected seven points
playing the same number of matches.
Earlier, Brothers Union Club beat Bangladesh Police Football Club 2-1, played
1-1 draw with Fortis Football Club, blanked Chittagong Abahani Limited 2-0
but they lost to Rahmatganj by 3-1 goals.
Bashundhara Kings earlier thrashed Chittagong Abahani Limited by 7-0 goals in
their league opening match but they lost to Mohammedan Sporting Club by 1-0
goal in their second match.
The league champions however bounced back to register a 4-1 victory over
Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in their third match of the league but
lost to a 1-0 goal defeat to Abahani Limited Dhaka.
Saturday's matches: Abahani Limited Dhaka vs Bangladesh Police Football Club
at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla and Rahmatganj vs
Fakirerpool Young Men's Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.
Both the matches kick off at 2.30 pm.
