DHAKA, Dec 28, 2024 (BSS)- Six players advanced to the second round of 
Shahjalal Islami Bank Victory Day [V-day] Tennis competition held at Ramna 
National Tennis Court Complex in the capital on Saturday.
 
In the boys' singles under-18 matches, Kabya Gayen beat Bondhu Prem Sarkar of 
Jatiya Tennis Complex 6-0, 6-0, Sourav Hossain Fahim of Pro Tennis Academy 
Dhaka beat Sami Islam of Madaripur Tennis Club 7-5 6-1, N Talukder of BKSP 
defeated his teammate Nafis Adnan 6-2, 6-1, Zarif Bhuiyan of Uttara Club beat 
Junayet Rashedin of Advocate Abdus Salam Tennis Complex 6-1, 6-1, Avinash Raj 
of Sylhet Tennis Club beat Shakeel Ahmed of BKSP 6-3, 6-2, Intisar Hasan of 
BKSP beat Safwan Sadik of Tennis Complex 6-0, 6-0 to advance to the second 
round.
 
In the girls' singles U-14 group, Mastura Afrin of Pro Tennis Academy Dhaka 
defeated her teammate Ibe Rahim 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the second round.

Meanwhile, in the day's boys' singles under-18 group, Tanveer Moon Tushar of 
BKSP beat Alif Hossain of Jatiya Tennis Complex 6-0, 6-0, Azan Ibn Azim of 
Uttara Club Ltd beat Rashedin Mihal of Advocate Abdus Salam Tennis Complex 6-
3, 6-1 and Subhit Barua of BKSP beat Tajbid Rahman of Advocate Abdus Salam 
Tennis Complex 6-0, 6-0 to reach the second round.
