DHAKA, Jan 2, 2025 (BSS)-Fortune Barishal received a blow when their veteran
wicket-keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim had to leave the field due to a
potential injury in the midst of their Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match
against Rangpur Riders at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today.

The incident occurred during Rangpur's chase as Mushfiqur Rahim, who was
keeping, tried to keep a delivery of bowler Iqbal Hossain Emon. The physio
attended him immediately but after a while he was seen leaving the ground
with pain. Pritom Kumar then replaced him behind the wicket.

Barishal team management however is yet to confirm the extent of the injury.
Mushfiqur scored just 15 runs as Barishal were all out for a meager 124 in
18.2 overs. Rangpur overhauled the target in 15 overs to beat them by eight
wickets.
