DHAKA, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS)- Chittagong Abahani Limited split point with 
Fakirerpool Young Men's Club when their match ended in a 2-2 goal draw in the 
Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football held at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium 
in Mymensingh on Tuesday.
 
In the day's match, Chittagong Abahani Limited took early lead through a goal 
scored by midfielder Saiful in the 13th minute but Uzbekistan forward Akobir 
Turaev brought back Fakirerpool in the 21st minute.

After the breather, Santo Tudu put Fakirerpool ahead scoring the second goal 
in the 73rd minute while forward Tawhidul Alom Sabuz neutralized the margin 
scoring the second goal for Chittagong Abahani in the 80th minute of the 
match.
  
With the day's outcome, both Fakirerpool and Chittagong Abahani Limited 
opened their account with one point each.

Fakirerpool will play their next group match against Abahani Limited Dhaka 
while Chittagong Ahabani will face Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society 
scheduled to be held on January 21. 

Earlier, Fakirerpool suffered a massive 6-0 defeat to Rahmatganj in their 
group opening match while Chittagong Abahani Limited, who are not best in 
their form, lost both their previous group matches. 

The port city team Chittagong Ahahani suffered 3-0 defeat to Abahani Limited 
Dhaka and lost 6-0 to Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.
