DHAKA, Feb 7, 2025 (BSS)—Tamim Iqbal, considered as the best ever batter, the country has ever produced, urged the fans to support the team Bangladesh only, instead of being loyal to any particular player.

"There is no Tamimian, there is no Shakibian, there is no Mashrafian. There is only one thing, that is only Bangladesh,” Tamim Iqbal said after being presented with special mementoes by sports and youth adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain for his contribution to the Bangladesh cricket.
He said being loyal to a particular player only ruin the young generation and the team Bangladesh.
“These things destroy the young generation. Please stop this. This is the last message I want to say,” he said.

“You can be fan of me, you can be fan of Shakib, you can be fan of Mashrafe but when the team plays, be the fan of Bangladesh,” he said.

Terming the current Bangladesh as young team, he urged the fans to be together to get behind the country when it plays any international tournament.

“Please support the young team, they will make mistake but please support them. Support your team, it is your team. Please be together, "he said.

Tamim contributed in the victory with a dazzling 29 ball-54.
