SATKHIRA, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS)- Deputy Commissioner Cup T20 Cricket Tournament has been inaugurated at Satkhira Stadium on Thursday.

Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mostaq Ahmed formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest, organized by district administration and in collaboration with the Satkhira District Sports Association (DSA).

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said there is no alternative to sports and physical exercise to maintain a sound body and mind. Along with cricket and football, all types of sports should be given equal importance. 

Satkhira Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bishnupada Pal was also present at the opening ceremony. 

District Sports Officer Md. Mahbubur Rahman, DSA Convening Committee Member Dr. Abul Kalam Babla, former FIFA Referee Tayeb Hasan Babu, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Representative Mohini Tabassum and District Sports Association Former Joint General Meer Tajul Islam Ripon, were among others,present in the opening ceremony.

Arians Club and Yunus Ali Smriti Sangsad took part in the inaugural match of the tournament.
