DINAJPUR, Feb 25, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day annual sports and cultural competition began at Dinajpur St. Phillips High School and College amid festive mood and much enthusiasm today.
Chairman of Dinajpur Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Prof. Touhidul Islam inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.
Principle of Dinajpur St. Philip's High School and College, Brother Kajal Linus Costa Costa presided over the programme.
Speaking as the chief guest, chairman of Dinajpur Education Board said, "The new generation has brought glory to this country. The importance of cultural practice in developing the talent of the youth is immense.”
“A healthy culture teaches us to be kind and makes students creative. So students should participate in cultural activities and sports along with their studies”, he added.
District Education Officer Mosa Samchun Nehar, convener of competition committee Sushila Tudu and assistant teacher Henry Bulbul Sikder also spoke, at the programme.
