DHAKA, April 23, 2025 (BSS)-Soumya Sarkar went past Tamim Iqbal and Anamul
Haue Bijoy in hitting highest number of 150-plus knock in List A cricket
today during his side Legends of Rupganj's match against Agrani Bank Cricket
Club in Super Six phase of Dhaka Premier League (DPL) at BKSP-4 ground.
Soumya blasted 112 ball-153, laced with 17 fours and six sixes as Legends
posted a mammoth 333-3 and then bowled out Agrani for just 230 in 43.1 overs
to seal a 103-run victory.
It was Soumya's ninth century in List A cricket, amongst which four was 150
plus, including a 208-run knock, which was highest knock by a Bangladeshi
batter in 50-over cricket.
Both Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque Bijoy have three 150-plus knock. While
Bijoy is still playing, Tamim's return to cricket is uncertain following a
cardiac arrest last month.
In the DPL's another match at BKSP-3 ground, Mohammedan Sporting Club beat
Gulshan Cricket Club by five wickets for their second victory in Super Six
phase in three matches.
Put into bat first, Gulshan were bowled out for 224 in 47.4 overs, a total
Mohammedan overhauled in 46.4 overs by reaching 225-5.
Veteran Mahmudullah Riyad top-scored with 71 while captain Towhid Hridoy made
