LILLE, France, Nov 7, 2021 (BSS/AFP) - Dawit Seyaum took two seconds off

the world record for 5km in a mixed-field race, when she won in 14min 41sec
in Lille on Saturday.

  The record in a women's-only road race over the distance is 14.29, set by
fellow Ethiopian Senbere Teferi, in Herzogenaurach, Germany, in September.

  The old mixed record was 14:43 run by Kenyan Beatrice Chepkoech in Monaco
in February.
