DHAKA, Sept 11, 2026 (BSS)- The qualifying round of the 50th National ‘B’ Chess Championship Region-1 (Dhaka City, Dhaka Division and all districts of Dhaka Division) has begun today (Friday) at the Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) sports room.

Organized by the BCF, a total of 118 players are participating in the event, which is being played under a seven-round Swiss League system.

The top twenty players from the qualifying round will earn the opportunity to compete in the region-1 Dhaka Final.
