DHAKA, Feb 8, 2022 (BSS)- Four players are sharing lead in the points table with maximum four points after the fourth round matches of Al Mahmud Memorial Probashi FIDE Master Rating Chess Tournament now being held at the National Sports Council old building.

They are GM Ziaur Rahman, IM Abu Sufian Shakil, FM Subrota Biswas and CM Ikramul Haq Siam.

Seven players are sharing the second slot with 3.5 points. They are GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, CM Manon Reja Neer, CM Sadnan Hasan Dihan, CM Nasyem Haque, Gius Uddin Ahmed and Arpan Das (Jr.) of India.

In the day’s fourth round matches held today (Tuesday), Arpan drew with GM Rakib,  GM Zia beat Sakline Mostafa, IM Shakil beat CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed, CM Siam beat CM Sharif Hossain, FM Subrota beat Md Masum Hossain, Gius Uddin split point with CM Nayem, Mohammad Aminul Islam split point with CM Tahsin Tajwazr Zia and Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan drew with IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin.

The fifth round games will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) from 3  PM in the same venue.
